
Hot, hot, hot !!!
What a hot last week we have had! We have had a fun-filled last few days together. We enjoyed watching the Trolls movie and made our own popcorn which was great fun! Party day included some old favourites: Pass the parcel, Musical statues, Squeak piggy, squeak and some delicious party food treats. Cooling off was essential so we took our shoes and socks off and had the most refreshing paddle in cold water!..... Ice pops helped too! We would like to say thank you and best wish

Summer crops & Summer Fayre
After weeks of watching and waiting, we finally harvested the first of our home-grown produce at The Ark this week. I was alerted by a child shouting, "Mrs Payne, the grapes and pumpkins are ready!". In actual fact, there was a huge orange coloured tomato that looked very much like a pumpkin and lots of small green tomatoes too. We then found several red strawberries and they tasted delicious!! Sports Day Superstars 🤩
We held our annual Early Years Sports Morning on Tuesday. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold! Every child took part in an event: 'Balancing a quoit on your head', 'The egg and spoon race', 'Police (cars), Camera, Action' and the Grand Finale, 'The Sprint'! We ignored the 'false start' ! Transition Week 😊
This week we were excited to meet our new nursery children for the first time. They came to visit with their parents on Tuesday and we enjoyed an informal play session together. Fortunately there were no tears on arrival but we saw a few when it was time to leave!.....a good sign that much fun was had by all! 😃.
