The Hungry Caterpillar 🐛..... and a ‘Royal Celebration’ 🤴👸
This week we have enjoyed the story of 'The Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle. We looked at the life-cycle of a butterfly and used props to re-tell the story in small groups. We had a go at making our own books, drawing and counting different types of fruit on each page.
Our thoughts focused on the Royal Wedding towards the end of the week. We talked about what a wedding was and the children talked about their own personal experiences of weddings.
We all made a crown and enjoyed our new titles; "Prince Callum of Bradwell", "Queen Ivy of The Ark"! We enjoyed an afternoon tea together and the children loved the warm blackcurrant, served in a teapot.
"Oh my goodness, this is soooo lovely! I'm going to ask my Mummy to buy this!"
We finished our week with a game of 'Pin the tail on the corgi'!
We have one more week to enjoy before we break for half-term.
