Oliver's Fruit Salad & 10 Red Apples
We have enjoyed a busy last week of this half-term. We all enjoyed the story of 'Oliver's Fruit Salad', explored different fruits and made own fruit kebabs which we enjoyed at snack time.
A few children tried fruits that they had never eaten before so we were very proud of them for exploring new foods and discovering new favourites! Some children made a shopping list of the fruits they would like to buy.
The weather has been good so we enjoyed both of our PE sessions outside this week.
We have also read the story of '10 Red Apples' this week. We worked in small groups with our teacher and counted back from 10, until there were no apples left on the tree. We worked on number recognition and counted small groups of apples as well as considering the meaning of 'one more' or 'one less'.
We used our 'funky finger' skills to tear up red tissue paper and make our own red apples.
We wish you all a lovely half-term and look forward to welcoming you back to school on Monday 4th June. We would love to see your photos on Tapestry so the children can share their 'Holiday news' with the class when we return.
