Humpty Dumpty, Pancakes & World Book Day!

What a busy week we've had!

We started the week with a new nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty. We used soft bricks to build a wall for Humpty Dumpty.

Who could build the tallest wall?

How could we build a strong wall?

We had great fun trying to knock him off the wall outside by throwing a ball at him! We also used positional language to describe where Humpty was sitting in relation to the wall: 'behind', 'in front', 'beside' etc.

We read the story of Mr Wolf's Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday and the children really enjoyed the unexpected ending...!

Thursday was World Book Day and we enjoyed sharing our favourite books with each other. Our Year 5 class kindly offered to come and read stories to the nursery children in the afternoon.

* We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday afternoon @ 2.20pm (if your child usually attends this session) for our Read, Share, Review session. Ipads will be available to view your child's online learning journal

We are also looking forward to meeting lots of new faces at our 'Nursery Open Morning' on Wednesday. Please contact the office to arrange an appointment time.
