Transition Week 😊

This week we were excited to meet our new nursery children for the first time. They came to visit with their parents on Tuesday and we enjoyed an informal play session together. Fortunately there were no tears on arrival but we saw a few when it was time to leave!.....a good sign that much fun was had by all! πŸ˜ƒ.

We also supported our current nursery children as they went off to explore their new classrooms. Some children visited other schools they will be attending in September and the majority visited our reception class on Tuesday.

We have talked about our thoughts and feelings around this transitional time and we used a mirror and β€˜emotions’ cards to help us explain our feelings. We are so proud of how our children have grown in confidence and gained independence since the start of the school year and we know that these skills will shine through.

We were also excited to see how much our tomato plants have grown! We counted lots of green tomatoes and a few were huge! We can’t wait to taste our home grown produce πŸ˜‹πŸ…

We are looking forward to our Early Years Sports Day on Tuesday morning at 9.15am. The PTA are kindly providing refreshments before the event.
