Let it go, Let it go...

What another busy week!

This week saw the SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools), which is the National Church equivalent of Ofsted. Whilst we do not know the result as yet, Mrs Beeson did come and visit the nursery and was told about the story of Noah's Ark which we began our animal topic with. The children were fantastic, re-enacting the story in small world play, talking to unfamiliar adults and being extremely well behaved!

This week also saw our first of two charity events to help our class member, Anna. Unbeknownst to the children, but Elsa and Anna from Just Kids Parties East Anglia, based in Beccles, attended and entertained us that afternoon (for free!). They were fabulous; had us all singing and dancing, asking questions and listening to the story of Frozen. And lots of the boys had their picture taken with the lovely ladies too!

I am so proud to say that thanks to you and the Reception class parents, we raised a staggering £500 approximately. By the end of school we handed £450 to Anna's parents for their charity, Anna Poppy's Army, which is attempting to raise the funds to provide Anna with alternative medical treatment for cancer. We are still receiving donations and these are going into the 'pot' from which we will total up following the second event, the Early Years December disco. This is being provided free of charge by DJ Kev, again with all proceeds being donated to Anna's charity.

Thank you so, so, so much for your support and in helping one of our own! I hope to have a feature printed in the local paper, so stay tuned!

Disco tickets shall be designed and sold soon...
